I am currently employed as Senior Director of Information Technology at McNally Smith College of Music. Responsible for the development, launch, maintenance and evolution of many information technology projects for higher education. Accomplished as a team leader providing proven management of individuals both technically skilled, and of non-technical backgrounds.
Prior to his current position at McNally Smith College of Music, Eric was a Software Developer at Northwest Airlines. He also had numerous job titles in the audio/video world including; Studio Manager, Sound FX Editor, Teleprompter Operator, Camera and Tape Operator, Audio Assistant, and Digital Archive Specialist. During his career working in audio/video Eric was involved with many corporate clients such as; Best Buy, Carlson Companies, Honeywell, United Defense, Midwest Sports Channel, and Northwest Airlines.
Eric holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Information Technology Management with High Distinction from Concordia University, Saint Paul. Eric also holds an Associate of Arts degree from Saint Cloud State University, a Specialized Associates Degree from Full Sail University, and a Computer Programming Certificate from Brown College in Minnesota. On a personal note I enjoy music, my friends, travel, wine, gambling, and of course my family. I have a wonderful wife, Tara, who is my best friend. We have two amazing little boys, Sean and Nick. They keep us very busy!
This blog sort of chronicles my view on various topics from technology, music, higher education, travel, technology, personal experiences, technology…..did I mention technology? Most posts will cover that topic as it is an interest and passion that is very much a part of who I am.
